Europe’s fastest growing Chain of Custody scheme for small and medium sized businesses has extended it’s scope to include the timber sector.

The Group Scheme Limited is an FSC® Chain of Custody scheme for the print, print management, media and publishing sector that now also covers the manufacture and sale of timber and timber products.

The scope of our scheme has now been extended to include the timber sector - from timber merchants to furniture manufacturers - for organisations with 15 employees or fewer. We have also helped 100s of organisations with over 15 employees to achieve independent certification outside of The Group Scheme.

Vanessa Peel, Tony Wood, Paul Stokes and Simon Edkins formed The Group Scheme at the beginning of 2011. The scheme gives small businesses complete support for training and certification in FSC
chain of custody.

With industry now under pressure to achieve environmental certification membership of The Group scheme will help companies win business in a cost effective and affordable way.
It is also becoming increasingly important for businesses to be able to supply products certified as FSC to comply with tender criteria and legislation for the environment. The Group Scheme offers the only full service package for group members that includes on-going support and marketing advice. No other group scheme does this for its members so comprehensively.

The team behind The Group Scheme have many years’ experience of training and assessment for Chain of Custody and other international standards, as well as experience of running successful small businesses.

Our experience of training and certification is that a business owner can be hindered from capitalising on the competitive advantages of
FSC Promotional Panel
certification because of other “real world” considerations. Our marketing guide, pro-active support and the sharing of knowledge amongst group members will help you achieve a real return on your investment in chain of custody certification.
